Visit of Vietnamese Delegation to the National Archives of India under the Cultural Exchange Programme (CEP) from 26 April to 1 May 2010.

Ms Nguyen Thi Tam, Deputy Director General State Archives of Vietnam, and Ms Nguyen Thi Lan, Deputy Director, Centre for Science and Technology of Record Management, visited India under the Cultural Exchange Programme from 26 April to 1 May 2010. During their stay they held discussions with Shri S.M.R. Baqar, Director General of Archives, Dr. Meena Gautam, Smt Sunita Kalra and Dr. Sanjay Garg, Deputy Directors of Archives, on the archival systems and practices in the two countries. They were also shown round the various Divisions of the Department and apprised with the various functions. The delegates also addressed a gathering of staff members and trainees in the School of Archival Studies on the Archival System in Vietnam. They paid a courtesy call on Joint Secretary, Ministry of Culture on 29 April 2010. The delegates were also taken to Indira Gandhi National Centre for the Arts, Nehru Memorial Museum and Library and Delhi State Archives.
